About Wendy

Wendy Chavez practises employment law, advising employers and employees on the full range of workplace relations issues, including drafting and reviewing contracts, managing workplace conflicts, and regulatory compliance and governance. She has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 2010 and completed mediation training in civil, commercial and workplace matters through the Barreau in 2019. Much of her practice involves advising employers, workers and organizations from diverse cultural backgrounds, including immigrant and temporary foreign workers, on regulatory expectations and compliance risks. She also supports WMR's immigration practice on matters such as the integration of foreign workers and employer obligations tied to international mobility, and advises boards of directors, particularly at non-profit organizations, on governance and conflict resolution. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the Université de Montréal and is a member of the Groupe des Trente (G30), a program promoting diversity on boards of directors.
