About Leopoldo
Leopoldo Cordido practises family law, with a focus on international family matters. A civil-law-trained lawyer, he has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 2013 and was previously admitted to the bar in Caracas, Venezuela, in 2002. Much of his practice involves clients from immigrant or international backgrounds, whose family structures, parenting roles and approaches to conflict can differ from those recognized under Quebec law, and he focuses on explaining the legal principles, court expectations and practical consequences involved in family disputes. His approach emphasizes protecting children, finding durable solutions and de-escalating conflict where possible. He holds a law degree from the Universidad Santa María in Caracas and completed a degree equivalency program at the Université de Montréal in 2012.
