Wayne has served as City Solicitor for the City of Yorkton since 1978 and was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2008. He has volunteered as a lecturer for the Public Legal Education Association, served as a past Director of the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association and the York Lake Regional Park Authority, and acted as solicitor for the Yorkton Terriers.
