About David

David Rusnak earned a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Economics in 1979 and his Bachelor of Laws in 1981, both from the University of Saskatchewan. He articled with Rusnak Balacko Kachur from 1981 to 1982, worked as an associate from 1982 to 1987, and became a partner in 1987. He received his Queen's Counsel designation in 2015. David's general practice has a significant focus on litigation, including standing agent work on federal prosecutions, criminal defence, corporate and commercial matters, personal injury and family law, at trial and on appeal, appearing in the Court of King's Bench and Court of Appeal in both Saskatchewan and Manitoba. He served nine years on the Yorkton Public School Board, including as chair, and is a past president of the Yorkton Rotary Club and a founding member of the Yorkton Sports Hall of Fame. David has lectured at Parkland College and the Gabriel Dumont Institute and served as a Bencher for the East Central Region from 2013 to 2018.
