Civil Litigation & Dispute Resolution
Civil Litigation & Dispute ResolutionVivien Milat focuses on document-intensive litigation and the management of e-discovery projects, using document review platforms to identify key evidence and build case narratives. His work spans the full e-discovery process, including meeting document production obligations, negotiating discovery plans, overseeing document collection, and managing teams of reviewers, and he has also served as an independent lawyer conducting privilege reviews. He supports litigation more broadly by investigating case details, preparing court materials, interviewing and preparing witnesses, and analyzing evidence for trial. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2009 after clerking for judges of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and Justice Harrington of the Federal Court, and holds a J.D. from the University of Toronto, where he won prizes for academic excellence and contract law, along with two B.A. degrees from Queen's University. He is fluent in French.
