About Vanessa
Vanessa Dantes is a family lawyer at MD Law Group. Born and raised in Calgary, she earned a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of International Relations from Bond University in Australia, where she volunteered at the university's Immigration Law Clinic, and began her career practising family and domestic violence law on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane. After relocating to Canada in 2022 she completed her articles at a boutique Edmonton firm, handling divorces, mutual restraining orders, prenuptial and separation agreements, and litigation and mediation on parenting, property, and support matters. She is proficient in Hindi, Urdu and conversational Spanish, and is a member of the Alberta Family Lawyers Association, the South Asian Bar Association, the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers, and Global Lawyers of Canada.
