About James

James Gill is a co-founder and partner at Apna Law LLP, where he practices general civil litigation with a focus on defamation, injury, family, and estate claims. He earned his JD from Thompson Rivers University in 2014 after completing a Bachelor of Business Administration at Simon Fraser University, and was previously an Employment Standards Officer enforcing statutory employment rights for vulnerable workers. He has appeared before the Provincial Court and Supreme Court of British Columbia, including jury trials, and volunteers with Access Pro Bono and occasionally takes on Legal Aid clients, including refugee claimants.
