About Tyler
Tyler advises Indigenous communities on treaty implementation, governance, and economic development, with a practice focused on legal issues in fisheries, aquaculture, water and mining. He is passionate about supporting Indigenous communities in achieving economic prosperity within a framework of environmental conservation, and also engages in specific claims litigation. Prior to joining Ratcliff as an articling student in 2021, he worked as a co-op student for the Government of the Northwest Territories and as a legal researcher for the Cullen Commission. Originally from northwest BC, he enjoys foraging, kayaking, skiing, hiking and fishing along the west coast. He earned his J.D. from the University of Victoria in 2021 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2022.
