About Troy

Troy is a nationally known local government lawyer and prosecutor based in British Columbia with 29 years of legal experience, advising and representing local governments and public authorities in the Provincial Court, Supreme Court, and BC Court of Appeal. He is a sought-after speaker and educator on regulatory compliance and enforcement. He earned his law degree from the University of Windsor, where he received the J.W. Whiteside Award for community service, and was recognized as Top Lawyer Under 40 on Vancouver Island in 2006. He held a federally appointed position as a Member of the Military Police Complaints Commission, chaired the CBA-BC Municipal Lawyers Section, and holds an honorary membership in the Local Government Compliance and Enforcement Association of BC.
