About Dyan
Dyan Davison earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of British Columbia in 1991 after completing a BA in psychology at York University, and she was called to the bar in 1993 after articling in Vancouver. She practises family law, including child apprehension matters, family mediation, and civil litigation related to sexual assault and abuse, and she is a designated Children's Lawyer able to act for the interests of underage children without a parent or guardian present. Dyan favours a collaborative, resolution-focused approach and prefers to settle matters outside of court. She has served as a board member of the Separation and Divorce Resource Centre, often gives community seminars on family law, wills, and estates, and holds a diploma in Theology.
