About Kismet

Kismet is a seasoned litigator with 29 years of experience in civil litigation, insurance defence, and prosecutions, known for an approachable and cooperative style. Born and raised in Victoria, she earned her first degree from Carleton University before working as an assistant English teacher for Japan's Ministry of Education, then as an ESL teacher in Ottawa and Vancouver, prior to earning her law degree from the University of Victoria. She serves on the CHAS Board of Governors for the Canadian College of Performing Arts and previously served on the YMCA/YWCA board and the Victoria Bar Association board, serving as its President in 2014.
