Toba Cooper is a partner at Dale & Lessmann LLP and a registered trademark agent whose practice centers on trademark and copyright law. She handles the clearance, prosecution, and registration of trademarks for clients ranging from SMEs to Fortune 500 companies, and manages both domestic and international trademark portfolios. Toba has represented clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings and has acted as counsel in trademark and copyright litigation before the Federal Court, Federal Court of Appeal, and Ontario Superior Court. Her background in commercial arts informs an interest in copyright matters for creative-industry clients such as publishers, photographers, and artists, including questions raised by artificial intelligence.
