About Tim
Tim Brown has practiced at Porter Ramsay for more than two decades, advising developers, investors and financial institutions on complex commercial and residential real estate matters. He has led the acquisition, disposition and development of residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use projects, including strata developments, land assemblies and large-scale subdivisions. He advises on the full real estate lifecycle, from site acquisition and municipal approvals through financing, construction and completion, and provides guidance on REDMA compliance for both lenders and borrowers. Tim earned a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Manitoba in 2001 and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia in 1998, completed the Professional Legal Training Course through the Law Society of British Columbia, and was called to the British Columbia bar on May 30, 2002. He is a director of the Downtown Kelowna Association, a member of the Kelowna Bar Association, a past member of the Canadian Home Builders Association, and a past chair of the Young Lawyers branch of the Canadian Bar Association.
