About Thomas

Tom Donnelly litigates insurance coverage disputes for both policyholders and insurers, having appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada, the Ontario Court of Appeal, and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, along with private arbitrations and mediations. His policyholder clients have collectively recovered more than $1.2 billion in settlements and judgments. He earned his LLB from the University of Western Ontario in 1997 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1999, later teaching an advanced insurance law course at his alma mater for three years. Tom has handled claims touching directors' and officers' insurance, professional liability, environmental and umbrella liability, fidelity bonds, and property, homeowners', and auto insurance, and has more than seventy reported decisions to his name. He is listed in Chambers Canada, Best Lawyers in Canada, the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, and Who's Who Legal for insurance law.
