About Terra
Terra L. Klinck is the Managing Partner of BMKP Law, leading the firm's strategic direction while maintaining a practice in pension, benefits, and executive compensation law. Klinck has over 25 years of experience advising provincially and federally regulated employers and plan administrators on defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans, including governance, fiduciary responsibilities, funding, and regulatory compliance. Terra has advised on de-risking initiatives such as annuity buy-in and buy-out transactions, including a series of transactions transferring more than $2 billion in defined benefit liabilities to Canadian insurers in 2023 and 2024. That practice also covers pension and benefit matters in mergers, acquisitions, insolvencies, and restructurings. Terra holds an LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario and a B.Comm. from McGill University, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1997.
