About Sylvie

Sylvie Grenier has practised civil and commercial litigation, bankruptcy and insolvency, banking law and fraud recovery before the courts of Quebec for more than 35 years at Sternthal Montigny Greenberg St-Germain LLP. She advises clients on maximizing recovery of assets from debtors, assists trustees, advises on the validity and ranking of creditors, and acts in bankruptcy, proposal and liquidation matters. She has intervened on an urgent basis to prevent fraudulent international money transfers and has taken interim measures to protect clients from fraud. Her practice also covers estate litigation, construction law, latent defect claims, commercial leasing and dismissals. Grenier is a former professor at the École du Barreau in bankruptcy and insolvency. She earned her LL.L. from the Université de Montréal in 1980 and was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 1982.
