About Susanne

Susanne Raab is a director at Pacific Medical Law and an adjunct professor of law at the University of British Columbia's Allard School of Law, where she has taught the medical negligence course to upper-year students since 2019. Her practice focuses on representing individuals who have suffered injuries from medical malpractice, particularly birth injuries and catastrophic brain and spinal cord injuries, and she previously represented physicians in medical malpractice and birth injury defence work. Raab has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia and the Supreme Court of Canada, and has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada since 2015, including as Lawyer of the Year in Medical Negligence in 2026. She is a Senior Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America and serves on the Education Committee of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia. Outside her litigation practice, Raab founded CP Support Canada, which provides bursaries and support for families raising a child with cerebral palsy, and is a past president of the Cerebral Palsy Association of British Columbia.
