About Susan

Susan Allen is managing partner and co-founder of Ingenuity, where she provides legal counsel across corporate, commercial, and securities law while overseeing the firm's day-to-day direction. She was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2002 after earning a Bachelor of Science, a Bachelor of Education, and a Bachelor of Laws, all from Queen's University, and she later completed a certificate in adjudication for administrative agencies, boards, and tribunals through Osgoode Hall Law School. Before starting her law career she spent time living and working in China as a teacher. Susan previously practised corporate and securities law at Stikeman Elliott LLP and went on to serve as managing partner and a founding member of Allen & Co. LLP. She has held past appointments to the Board of the College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Technologists of Ontario and to the Consent and Capacity Board. Outside the firm, she is active in her community, coaching and supporting youth sports teams.
