About Steven
Steven Meurrens has focused his practice exclusively on immigration, refugee, and citizenship law since being called to the British Columbia Bar in 2010. He advises employers, individuals, and families on temporary and permanent entry to Canada and citizenship matters, and has an extensive practice challenging refusals and application delays at the Federal Court, regularly retained for judicial review and procedural fairness matters. He is a published columnist, a frequent conference panelist, a past instructor in UBC's Certificate in Immigration Laws, Policies and Procedures program, and the creator of the Borderlines immigration law podcast. He holds a BA from the University of British Columbia (2006) and a JD from the University of Toronto (2009), and previously chaired the Canadian Bar Association's BC Immigration Law section.
