About Stephen
Stephen M. Torscher is a partner and co-chair of the employment practice group at Carbert Waite LLP, advising on the full employment relationship from hiring to termination, including employment contracts, workplace policies, grievances, arbitrations and human rights and employment standards litigation. He has represented individuals, small businesses and large national corporations, and appears regularly before the Alberta Labour Relations Board and all levels of court in Alberta and the Federal Court of Canada. He earned a BA (Honours) in Psychology from the University of Calgary in 2004 and an LLB there in 2006, and was called to the Alberta bar in 2007. During his studies he worked summers for Citizenship and Immigration Canada and the federal Department of Justice.
