About Skylar

Skylar Ferbers is an associate at MLT Aikins LLP in Winnipeg, practising corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and commercial real estate. She has advised consolidators in the sports, dental, pharmacy, and physical therapy sectors on transactions spanning British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario. Ferbers joined MLT Aikins as a summer student in 2024 and returned the following year to complete her articles after earning her J.D. from the University of Manitoba in 2025. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce with honours from the University of Manitoba, where she majored in accounting, and provided pro bono services through the L. Kerry Vickar Business Law Clinic and the Manitoba Legal Clinic for the Arts. She received the David Levin Memorial Prize in Real Estate Transactions and Teranet Manitoba's Anderson Student Prize for Excellence in Real Property, both in 2025.
