About Sherry-Maria
Sherry-Maria Ghaly is counsel at Lenczner Slaght, where her practice is devoted entirely to health law. She represents healthcare professionals and institutions in matters involving medical negligence, privacy disputes, proceedings before the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, and other regulatory issues. Before joining the firm, she served as Legal Counsel at The Hospital for Sick Children, advising on regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and contract negotiation, and representing the hospital in arbitration and before the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal. Earlier still, she practised at a national firm, litigating professional negligence claims and complex commercial and constitutional disputes. Sherry-Maria earned her J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where she served two consecutive years as Equity Officer for the Students' Law Society, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2022.
