Sheri Farahani is a partner at Emond Harnden who has worked exclusively in management-side labour and employment law throughout her career, acting in both an advisory and litigation capacity with a particular emphasis on advising employers in the hotel and hospitality industry. She draws on six years of experience at a national business law firm to advise clients in the high-tech and financial services sectors on day-to-day human resources issues and on the employment aspects of corporate transactions. She represents employers in human rights proceedings, employment standards complaints, federal and provincial labour board proceedings, occupational health and safety matters, workers' compensation matters, and collective bargaining, and defends wrongful dismissal claims. She is a frequent speaker at employment and labour law conferences in Toronto and Ottawa.
