About Shaun

Shaun Laubman is a commercial litigation partner with two decades of experience, starting his career in New York before joining a Canadian litigation boutique. His practice spans corporate-commercial disputes, shareholder conflicts, securities and financial services litigation, real estate disputes, and family and estate matters, with a particular focus on franchise litigation in the automotive space. He appears before arbitrators, courts at trial and on appeal, and administrative tribunals. He previously chaired the University of Toronto Academic Discipline Tribunal and the Ontario Bar Association's Civil Litigation Executive, and served on the Users Committee for the Commercial List of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Shaun graduated as class valedictorian from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and clerked at the Ontario Court of Appeal before being called to the Ontario bar in 2005 and the New York bar in 2006.
