About Sean

Sean Pittman is an associate at Stewart McKelvey's St. John's office, with a commercial litigation practice that includes representing banks, trustees, and secured and unsecured creditors and debtors in insolvency proceedings and debt collection matters, along with insurance defence and municipal law work. Sean has represented creditors, royalty holders, and lien claimants in CCAA proceedings, and has acted for court-appointed receivers and lenders in receivership and foreclosure matters. Sean has appeared before all levels of court in Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as the Federal Court of Canada and the Court of King's Bench of Alberta. Sean holds a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick, both earned in 2015, and a Bachelor of Commerce from Memorial University. Sean was called to the Newfoundland and Labrador bar in 2017 and serves on the disciplinary panel of the College of Registered Nurses.
