About Sean
Sean Maxwell is a senior lawyer at BMKP Law based in Calgary, practising in pension, benefits, and executive compensation law. He advises on pension fund investments, plan terminations, administration and compliance issues, and the design and documentation of pension and benefit plans, as well as incentive compensation arrangements such as phantom stock and share appreciation rights. Sean has advised on the pension and benefit aspects of several large Canadian corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and asset sales in the energy, retail, and financial sectors. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2003 and the Alberta Bar in 2010, and holds a BA and JD from the University of Toronto.
