About Sarah
Sarah van Jaarsveld is a lawyer at River Valley Law LLP, based primarily out of the firm's Fraser Valley office. She has a solicitor's practice covering estate planning, estate administration, uncontested adoptions, and fertility and assisted reproduction law, and also advises on contractual matters such as marriage agreements, shareholder agreements and commercial leases. She began her legal career in South Africa, where she qualified as an attorney, and later worked as in-house legal counsel for corporations in South Africa, the United Arab Emirates and Ireland before requalifying as a lawyer in British Columbia. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Rhodes University (2005) and a Master of Laws from the University of the Witwatersrand (2009), obtained a Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation in 2021, and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2023. She was called to the British Columbia bar in 2026.
