About Sandon
Sandon Shogilev is a partner in Goodmans' Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group. He has extensive experience litigating patent infringement actions, matters under Canada's Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations, and judicial review proceedings, often appearing in Federal Court and before the Federal Court of Appeal. He also advises clients on protecting and monetizing technology and intellectual property assets. Outside of intellectual property work, Sandon counsels clients on the Competition Act and the Investment Canada Act, Canada's foreign investment review law. He recently acted as counsel in a successful Supreme Court of Canada appeal that overturned a decades-old tax law precedent. Sandon has lectured in patent law at Queen's University's Faculty of Law. IAM Patent 1000, The Legal 500 Canada, Best Lawyers in Canada, and the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory have all recognized his intellectual property work, and he's been featured in the Lexpert Special Edition on Health Sciences.
