About Samiyyah

Samiyyah Ganga is a partner at Weisberg Law Criminal Lawyers. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Osgoode Hall Law School, where she competed in moot court and received several academic prizes. Her practice centers on defending clients against allegations of sexual assault and domestic assault, and she has also handled homicide charges and complex drug prosecutions. Samiyyah conducts both trials and appeals, and her caseload has ranged from regulatory charges to serious criminal offences. She has contributed criminal law research for several organizations, among them the Canadian Muslim Lawyers' Association, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, and the Criminal Lawyers' Association, where she also volunteers on its Women's and Diversity Committees. She was named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in 2025.
