About Simmy

Prior to founding Edge Injury Law, Simmy Yu spent 11 years as a lawyer at a Bay Street firm practicing exclusively personal injury law, negotiating tens of millions of dollars in settlements and working on notable precedent-setting cases before courts and tribunals. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Community Legal Clinic of York Region and as Vice-Chair of the Women's Caucus of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, and holds BBA, JD, PCLL, and LL.M. degrees along with certificates in negotiation from Harvard Law School and mediation from Cornell University.
