About Samanta

Samanta Garcia Fialdini joined CILF's Ottawa office in 2022 after working as a staff lawyer with Community Legal Services of Ottawa, where she also completed her articles focusing on housing law, income maintenance, and immigration matters. She graduated from McGill University's Faculty of Law with a J.D. and B.C.L. in 2020, concentrating on immigration and refugee law, and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2022. During law school she interned with Action Réfugiés Montréal and served as co-Chair of the McGill Student Chapter of the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers. Before law school, she was Anti-Trafficking Coordinator and Project Manager with the Canadian Council for Refugees, working on programs to protect trafficked persons and vulnerable migrants.
