S.B. Gavin Matthews is the managing partner of Peacock Linder Halt & Mack LLP, which he joined in 2010 after previously being a partner at a major international law firm in Calgary. His practice covers complex commercial litigation including class actions, oil and gas, securities, construction, and insurance, as well as disputes among corporate shareholders and partners, with experience before courts and tribunals and in arbitration and mediation both nationally and internationally. He has defended class actions since class proceedings legislation came to Alberta in 2004, acting for national and international companies and financial institutions in employment, payday loan, Ponzi scheme, and securities class actions.
