About Russell
Russell Laishley founded Laishley Reed LLP in 2000 after four years as a partner at a mid-size Bay Street firm and ten years at a national firm's Toronto office. His practice spans tax administration and enforcement, covering audits, appeals, investigations, collections, taxpayer relief applications and voluntary disclosure work under statutes such as the Income Tax Act and Excise Tax Act. He also handles commercial and insolvency litigation, having appeared before all levels of the Ontario and Federal courts, including matters involving Mareva injunctions, Anton Piller orders and Charter challenges. Laishley has participated in US anti-trust grand jury investigations and a British Serious Frauds Office inquiry. He earned his law degree from Queen's University and a business degree from Acadia University, and was called to the Ontario bar in 1988.
