Real Estate LawChris Reed is a founding partner who has practised commercial litigation for more than twenty-five years, with particular strength in bankruptcy and creditors' rights litigation and real estate litigation. His broader practice has covered shareholder oppression claims, intellectual property disputes, entertainment law, estate litigation, contract disputes, interlocutory injunctions, and collections, argued before the Commercial List, the Superior Court, the Court of Appeal, and at commercial arbitrations. He has taken part in major restructurings, receiverships, and reorganizations for debtors, creditors, trustees, and monitors, and is frequently retained by guardian trustees appointed by the Superintendent of Bankruptcy. Before founding his current firm in 2000, he spent five years as a partner at a mid-size Bay Street firm. He earned his B.A. in 1983 and his LL.B. in 1986 from the University of Toronto and was called to the Ontario bar in 1988.
