About Russell

Russell Gibson is a partner and co-founder of Gibson Tanner Rabin LLP, practising in corporate law, charities, real estate, and wills and estates. He's known for his work pursuing private legislation for not-for-profit entities such as Ronald McDonald Houses, Loretto Ladies Colleges and Schools, and St. Paul University. Before becoming a lawyer, he worked as a journalist, serving as Associate Editor of the Financial Post's Directory of Government and as a reporter with United Press International. He's a graduate of the University of Ottawa and the University of Western Ontario, and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Carleton County Law Association. Gibson is active in community and not-for-profit governance, including on the finance committee of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Ottawa and as a director of the Pearson Centre for Progressive Policy.
