About Roman

Roman Myndiuk is a partner at Beard Winter LLP who was called to the bar in 2011. His civil litigation practice focuses on insurance defence and commercial matters, and he has handled personal injury, property damage, occupier's liability, tavern liability, product liability, professional liability, breach of contract, and ski defence cases. He also defends first-party accident benefits claims and coverage disputes, and has developed a particular interest in acting for public entities such as conservation authorities and school boards. Roman holds a B.A. (Hons.) in history from the University of Toronto and a J.D. from the University of Windsor, and he volunteered as a litigator at the Community Legal Aid Clinic during law school. He summered and articled at the firm, where he now co-chairs the Articling Committee, and was recognized by his peers in The Best Lawyers in Canada for personal injury litigation in 2023. He regularly appears at the Superior Court of Justice and the Licence Appeal Tribunal, and has appeared alongside senior counsel before the Court of Appeal for Ontario and the Supreme Court of Canada.
