About Robert

Robert Raich founded RaichLegal Inc. after more than 40 years practising tax and business law in Montreal, and was called to the Barreau du Québec in 1976. He was previously a senior partner and served as managing partner for over 25 years at Spiegel Sohmer Inc., a Montreal firm specializing in taxation law. His practice covers personal, corporate and international tax, tax advice on real estate transactions and business acquisitions and sales, corporate reorganizations, venture capital financing, charitable planning, and estate, will and trust planning. He has been repeatedly recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada for Taxation Law and the Law of Estates and Trusts, and ranked as a Leading Practitioner in The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory. He lectures on tax at the McGill University Faculty of Law and at industry conferences, and provides commentary on tax and budget issues in the media.
