About Emily
Emily Stewart is a Senior Associate at Torys based in Toronto. Her practice is centered on energy and infrastructure projects, where she supports clients on both the transactional and regulatory sides of major energy mandates, including matters tied to the environment. Emily once served as a legal intern with the Implementation Department for a First Nation located in the Yukon Territory. While she was articling at the firm, she volunteered with the Law in Action Within Schools program, known as LAWS, which brings legal education into high schools. During her time in law school, Emily gave her time at Pro Bono Ontario's Law Help Centre, where she supplied legal information to self-represented litigants with low incomes. She additionally volunteered at Downtown Legal Services, in its Refugee and Immigration Law Division.
