About Chris

Chris Okougha trained as a lawyer at the University of Benin, Nigeria, and was called to the bar as a barrister and solicitor of Nigeria's Supreme Court. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, with more than 12 years of international legal experience in criminal law, corporate commercial law, commercial arbitration, mediation, dispute resolution, oil and gas law, and litigation. He moved to Canada in 2022, completed the National Committee on Accreditation exams in December 2023, and has since been called to the Alberta Bar. At EO Law he practises criminal law, personal injury, civil litigation, rent tribunal matters, and wills and estates, and has volunteered with Supported Lifestyle, an organization serving people with intellectual disabilities.
