About Richard

Richard Scott was called to the bar in 2015 after earning civil law and common law degrees from the University of Ottawa and a BA from McGill University. He focuses on technology law, SaaS, professional services, and startups, drawing on experience at regional and international law firms as well as in-house roles at construction, software, and cloud companies. As a founder himself, he says he aims to give clients practical, actionable advice to help them avoid pitfalls and support their business growth. He is fluent in English and French, with conversational Mandarin.
