About Richard
Richard provides a broad range of legal services including real estate, property development, corporate and commercial law, and wills and estate planning. A lifelong resident of Thunder Bay, he completed law school in 1976, articled locally, and after two years as an associate at another Thunder Bay firm, started his own practice in 1980 that grew into what is now Buset LLP. He has long served the wider community, including decades on the Board of Directors of 3C's Reintroduction Centre, where he is presently President, and on committees at St. Agnes Parish. Richard helped establish Lakehead University's Faculty of Law through his work on the Chancellor's Task Force, and in 2007 he and his wife founded the charitable foundation Compassionet Impact Development Canada.
