Dawson E. Somerville

About Dawson

Dawson's practice covers insurance law, litigation and dispute resolution, public and administrative law, and wills and estate law. She joined Buset LLP as a summer law student and completed her practice placement with the firm before returning as an associate following her call to the Ontario bar in 2024. Dawson earned an Honours BA in Law with a minor in Business from Carleton University and her JD from Lakehead University's Bora Laskin Faculty of Law in June 2024, where she was a Dean's Fellow and received the President's Award. She serves as an executive member of the Ontario Bar Association's Insurance Law Section and Women Lawyers Forum, chairs the OBA's Young Lawyers Division - North, and sits on the OBA's Provincial Council and Board of Directors.
