Sebastian (George) Joseph immigrated to Canada from India in 1967. Before law school, he worked for the Ministry of the Attorney General as a provincial prosecutor starting in 1994, prosecuting offences under the Provincial Offences Act, the Highway Traffic Act, and the Liquor Licence Act. He attended the University of Saskatchewan's Faculty of Law, graduating in 1998 with the Gabe Burkhart Memorial Award for outstanding achievement in criminal law, and joined Petrone & Partners as an articling student soon after, becoming a partner in 2009. He has practised in civil litigation, administrative law, and real estate, though his main focus is criminal litigation, and he has represented clients at all levels of court in Ontario, including the Court of Appeal. He is a member of the Criminal Lawyers Association, a Council Member for the Ontario Bar Association, and a director of the Thunder Bay Law Association.
