About Rebecca
Rebecca Thera is passionate about social justice and making the law accessible to her clients, approaching family law matters with compassion. She has appeared in both the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King's Bench on a variety of family law issues. Born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, Thera earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Regina and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Alberta before completing her Juris Doctor at the University of Alberta in 2024, where she received the Jean McBean QC Award in Law and competed in a provincial family law moot and a national immigration and citizenship law moot. She began working at Bruyer & Mackay LLP in 2024 as an articling student and was called to the Alberta bar in 2025.
