About Megan

Megan Dawson is a partner at McCuaig Desrochers LLP practising primarily in immigration and family law, with some adult guardianship and trusteeship work. Born and raised in Edmonton, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Alberta in 2007 and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta in 2011. She joined the firm as an associate in July 2012 after articling and became a partner in 2018. She has represented clients at all levels of court in Alberta family law matters and before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, and is a past chair of the Canadian Bar Association's Immigration Law (Alberta North) section. She previously served as Family Law Coordinator of Student Legal Services of Edmonton and sat on its Board of Directors for nine years.
