About Raj
Raj is of counsel with BAX Securities Law, advising public and private companies and investment funds on corporate finance and securities matters. His clients include venture capital and private equity funds, startups, and growth-stage companies in sectors such as fintech, mining, energy, technology, and real estate. He advises public companies and funds on reporting obligations under securities legislation, including financial disclosure, material change reports, and shareholder meetings, and helps private companies with exempt financings and related filings. His mergers and acquisitions work spans due diligence, management buyouts, take-over bids, and plans of arrangement. Raj has also written on blockchain and smart contracts in trade finance. He holds an LL.M. in International Business Law from Osgoode Hall Law School and an LL.B. from KIIT University in India, and was called to the bar in Ontario in 2024 after being admitted to the Bar Council of India in 2016.
