About Raffaella

Raffaella Rullo is Counsel at DWF, having previously served as a Senior Associate, focusing on privacy, cyber security, and funds transfer fraud. She acts as a frontline breach coach for organizations facing cyber incidents such as ransomware and business email compromise, guiding clients from forensic onboarding through threat-actor negotiation and restoration planning. As breach coach and counsel, she advises on obligations under Canadian privacy legislation, conducts privacy and risk assessments, and has represented clients before privacy regulators. Raffaella has also appeared before the Superior Court on proceedings to recover funds misdirected by threat actors, and in 2025 she recovered almost $15 million for Canadian clients. Before joining DWF, she practiced insurance defence litigation covering personal injury, professional negligence, civil sexual assault, and defamation matters. She earned dual J.D. degrees from the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy in 2018 and a B.A. from the University of Toronto in 2014, and she was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019.
