About Lisa

Lisa Freeman is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto with more than 20 years of experience practicing exclusively in professional discipline. She prosecutes, investigates and trains adjudicators for a variety of regulatory organizations, and also acts as independent legal counsel and represents professionals being audited, investigated or disciplined by their governing bodies. She has appeared before numerous provincial and national tribunals, at all levels of court in Ontario, and at the Supreme Court of Canada. Before opening her own practice in 2017, Lisa spent 16 years as Discipline Counsel with the Law Society of Ontario, prosecuting lawyers and paralegals. Since 2009 she has taught Trial Advocacy at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, and she previously served as a part-time member of the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board. She is a regular speaker and panelist on continuing professional development programs.
