About Rachel
Rachel Makkar is an associate in Osler's Real Estate group. Her work spans a broad set of commercial real estate matters, such as acquisitions, dispositions, financing arrangements and lease negotiations. Rachel joined Osler as a summer student in 2023 and returned in 2025 to complete her articles, which included a secondment at Scotiabank. She earned her law degree at Western University, volunteering there with a legal clinic focused on landlord and tenant issues, and received the Law Society of Ontario Prize for her academic standing. Before law school, Rachel completed a business degree with high distinction at the University of Toronto.
