About Rachel

Rachel C. McLean joined the Law Office of Murdoch J. Carter as an Associate Lawyer in 2021, practising in family law, criminal law, real estate, and wills and estates. Raised in the Algoma District, she earned an Honours B.A. in Law and Justice, with a minor in Geography, from Laurentian University in 2015, followed by a Bachelor of Education there in 2016, and completed her Juris Doctor at the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University in 2021. During law school she took part in the Kawaskimhon Moot, developing Crown policy on the over-representation of Indigenous people in custody, and the Walsh Family Law Negotiation. She sits on the Board of Directors for the FJ Davey Home and played varsity basketball for Laurentian University as an undergraduate.
